Cilantro – Lime Ranch Dressing

Yields: 6 Servings Difficulty: Easy Prep Time: 3 Mins Cook Time: 2 Mins Total Time: 5 Mins

You ever get in those moods where you think, I got to healthy up my life a bit? That’s pretty much the mood I was in when I decided to make homemade salad dressing. I wanted to control every bit of what I was putting in my body. From the fresh veggies of the salad to the homemade dressing for the salad. I was surprised at how extremely easy and quick it was to whip up a delicious batch of dressing that the whole family loved. When I say loved it, I really mean that. In fact, I caught my aunt literally licking her fork and plate clean. True story.

This cool and refreshing dressing is great on salad, chicken, and steak. What I love most about this recipe is that is requires little preparation. Just throw all your ingredients in a blender and within seconds, this rave worthy dressing is ready for topping. It is okay  to leave a bit of the stems on the cilantro.  I tend to coarsely chop my cilantro and garlic for measuring purposes, as well as ease of blending, but that is totally up to you. In addition to the quick assembly, this dressing tastes amazing. The zesty flavor of the lime, the slight kick of heat from the jalapeno’s, and the classic ranch taste blend perfectly to create an unforgettable masterpiece. Honestly, if you never go back to store bought dressing again, I would not be surprised.

Extra dressing can be transferred to a airtight container and stored in the fridge for up to one week.
