The Chu Berry

Yields: 1 Serving Difficulty: Easy Prep Time: 6 Mins

I love wine, we all know that, but in the heat of summer sometimes I want a drink that’s chilled, refreshing, and strong. National Tequila Day 2020 I introduced my Chu Berry, a concoction that I created while making my tequila rosé chocolate covered strawberries. My chocolate covered strawberry recipe requires soaking strawberries in an alcohol bath. Once I removed my strawberries, I realized that I had a ton of alcohol that I wasn’t going to just pour out. Hence, I now have my go to summer drink. If you’re looking for another reason to make my Tequila Rosé Chocolate Covered Strawberries, there ya go.

With just the addition of sparkling water, a lemon slice, and a mashed strawberry, you’ve got the Chu Berry. Don’t let the simplicity of this drink fool you, it’s strong. The sparkling water and strawberries completely mask the taste of alcohol so be prepared for a sneak attack. One moment you’re sipping this refreshing drink on the patio, then boom you realize walking in a straight line sounds a lot easier than it is. Have fun and enjoy!
